My Dogs

I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I would put some pics up of my pooches. If you haven't noticed I love photography.

Here's Buddy our "chihuahua" ...he is so not full blood.

On Looking Young

Ok...my major gripe is how young I look...some may see it as a blessing. But NOT me.
Story:
I was at work the other day and a older (ok, pretty old) lady came in to meet my mom at the office. Trying to make small talk, she asks "Oh, are you off of school today?"
Politely (only because I try to respect my elders), I say "No." and leave it at that.
But no, that is not enough. She persists.
"Oh, are you homeschooled?"
I had to look the other way.
My mom comes to the rescue and says "No, she is 23 almost 24."
The lady then says, "Oh, she looks so young"

Also to further back this up:
*In college, I was offered a kids admission on a snorkel trip (12 & under) and the same guy also told my dad that I shouldn't look at the gay night life screen on the tv sitting there.
* Also, in College, while on vacation in Hawaii, a man told me that I looked 12.
* We were washing napkins for the hall at a laundry mat in town sometime last year and a lady came up and told my mom she noticed my wedding ring and wondered how I was able to get married so young.

Just imagine the looks and comments I will get when I am pregnant..Boo.

Life with AF

Honestly, this hasn't been any different than my her visits before the pregnancy. I was scared to death by the horror reports I was reading on the 1st AF after d&c. However, mine has been nice, er, well, normal anyway.

It is amazing how every milestone I hit in "recovery" elevates my mood and since of hopefulness that much more.
*The d&c gave me closure on my pregnancy and let me move on from it.
*AF gave me closure on my loss and lets me look forward to being pg again.
* A BFP will give me hope for a success after the loss.

Warning TMI ahead....
Since AF came (and condoms can be discarded finally), this is the first time that sex sounds appealing to me. Sad, I know. Maybe it is because I know that we are going to TTC again and that is exciting. Maybe it is because we don't need the dreaded condoms. Maybe it is because I finally feel like I can move on with life. Maybe it is the hormones. I don't know what it is, but don't get me wrong, AMEN.

TMI Over...

I just wish it would stop raining outside. It is colder today too. We were spoiled with beautiful weather last week. Tonight Molly has dog training again. Dan is going with me to run errands in Peoria. We are finalizing our Farm LOC and Equipment Loan papers to be turned in today, so that is exciting.

Dan has been amazing lately. He is a lot kinder more often. He will not complain about my cooking, he cooks, he helps clean up, he puts his own clothes away. If I ask him to do things around the house he will eventually get to them...hey we got to start somewhere right?? I love it. I don't know what I would do without him. This experience has brought us much closer. I have been dating/married to him for 6.5 years now...and I am not sick of him yet.

I am so exciting to start baking a baby...it is getting the best of me, I'll admit.

Oh and also, My BFF and I were not invited to a mutual friends wedding. When I say mutual friend I mean someone who did EVERYTHING with us in highschool. There was 4 of us. They were all in my wedding almost 2 yrs ago. We were all in another wedding last fall. And now....we are not even invited...wtf...seriously. And it isn't a small wedding...around 300 people. She is having the reception at the hall (BFF and I work there) and we don't want to be working the day of her event...so we are taking a trip to Galena with DH and her fiance...I can't wait. It will be short and sweet but to worth it to not be there...and actually enjoying ourselves.

Have a great day!

My Weekend

We had two successful events this weekend. On Sunday, I taught Sunday School and only one girl was there. I went home and took a nap. Then I worked in the yard. Last night I took some flowers to the cemetery and then we went grocery shopping. DH grilled steaks (My Favorite) and we had some roasted veggies and salad with it. I watched Celebrity Apprentice and went to bed...All in all a good weekend..
On Saturday, I took pictures of my niece at Prom...isn't she gorgeous???

This is both of my nieces..

Happy Friday!

It is going to be beautiful and 85 here in central Illinois..
How can I not be happy?

Well, I didn't get my run in or my dishes done last night.
When I said we were going mushrooming, I thought it was on my parents farm but no.
It was on DH's grandma's farm 1 hour away. So I run( well, actually drive if we are getting technical) home and change after work and load myself and my crochet project into the truck. We get down there and start our search.
Two hours later and what have we found?
Nothing, Nadda, Zero, Nunca.
Not one little ounce of a mushroom.
My thoughts of a delicious late night meal were shattered...
And to think...I was already drooling over this.
So we called Grandma and went to supper with her.
All in all, a good night.
But I am left to still dream of my beloved morels.

Tonight, I will be working because we have a banquet at the hall :( And tomorrow night(and day) I will be working at the hall. How is a girl supposed to catch up on housework???

Have a Fantastic Friday and a Fantastic Weekend!

P.S. 32 days past m/c...still waiting on dear ol' Aunt Flo....I might have to POAS just to lure her in...or at least resort to white undies or white pants..that usually does the trick right???

Good Morning

TGIAF! I am starting to think I live for the weekends :)

Last night, we had a nice dinner with the MIL and fiance. Yummy steak and jello cake.

Our company started a men's slowpitch team this year...being the only female employee I kept book. We have some members of the team who do not work for use but we need numbers so picture this....
1/2 the team showed up in jeans
1 player showed up in work boots
1/3 of the team played before..and are pretty good
1/2 the team had to go buy gloves
1/6 of the team came decked out...weren't good
Only 2-3 guys had on cleats.

We are the new team on the block this year. The teams think they are so much better than us and looking at the stats above...well.... I can't wait until we beat some teams...that would be nice.

Basically, the team started when a guy approached my brother(Josh) to be on his slowpitch team. Josh thought it sounded like fun and agreed. The guy then proceeded to ask Josh if our company could sponser this team. Josh then decides to start his own team in spite. He does not like being used for his money. So here we are. Off and running.

The good news is the guys had fun.

Today is a gorgeous day in central Illinois. I will probably go for a run after work, then I have to do dishes :( I think we are going to go mushrooming tonight though :) Work will be easy today. I have to go to Peoria and get food for the Banquet Hall, and we have two events this weekend :(

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
